Do you live or own a business in the Cuyuna Lakes Area? If so, we invite you to help shape the future of your community. Cuyuna Range Economic Development Inc. (CREDI) is excited to showcase the concepts and ideas discussed during the MN Design Team visit in May 2024. We invite you to consider participating in future projects. Join us for a viewing of the Design Team plan on Monday, September 9th at the C-I High School Forum Room from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.

C-I High School Forum Room

The MN Design Team assists communities in planning for a sustainable future and comprises architects, landscape architects, urban designers, planners, and other design and community development experts. In 2023, CREDI successfully applied for a second visit 14 years after their initial visit. The 2010 visit focused on lodging, main street enhancements, public art, and building standards to attract specific businesses. Second visits by the MN Design Team are uncommon, making this approval a unique opportunity. During the 2024 visit, Cuyuna Lakes sought solutions for a housing shortage, conflicts between housing and visitor lodging, space for business expansion, and managing parking congestion during summer weekends. During the open house, you will have the opportunity to view maps created indicating areas for development, parking management strategies, and attractive public spaces including an outdoor classroom and lounge areas. CREDI will be on hand to answer questions. The plans are a launching point and hit the goals CREDI had in mind, the next step is to engage residents in vital conversations.
